Global Securities Services Organisation - Project Support for Global Transaction Processing Solution
Pentagon consultants were engaged, as a team, to manage a complex strategic project to build a new global transaction processing offering that supported the major jurisdictions of this provider. This was based on new application platforms, as well as bespoke development within selected solutions to accommodate the versatile nature of client demands.
A project team, consisting of a Pentagon Project Manager and a number of specialist Business Analysts, were engaged to manage the business requirements of the project, working with internal I.T. resources and other project team members. The team was responsible for defining the details of multiple business processes, workflows and developments and managed the implementation of these elements throughout multiple phases of the project. This included the transition of existing clients onto the new technical architecture along with the on-boarding of new clients taking on the services of the provider.
The scope needed to be flexible to accommodate changing client requirements and drivers defined by changing business activities. A need for an extensive data management solution was identified during the engagement, which significantly increased the scope of the project on a global scale, but enabled the provider to introduce greater degrees of flexibility within their strategic technical architecture.
Pentagon’s consultants supported the project for four years with a transition to the providers’ key personnel as part of the BAU phase. The project is still on-going as part of a major strategic change programme that now includes multiple components of an enhanced middle service proposition.
