Assignment Summary
Pentagon were engaged to support the selection of new systems to enhance the middle office proposition within a Securities Services provider.
Approach
A senior Pentagon consultant assisted the provider with the identification of a short-list of potential vendors that could accommodate the business requirements, which had been defined by the organisation. Pentagon managed and supported the creation and distribution of RFPs to potential vendors and coordinated the responses and final selection.
A programme of work was defined which was managed by a Pentagon consultant, supported by specialist Business Analysts, who designed and produced all primary functional specifications for the selected solution. Other accredited Pentagon consultants were assigned to the development team to support the physical build and integration of the solution with existing platforms in the technical architecture.
Challenges
The RFP process had to be completed within tight project deadlines.
Outcome
Following the successful delivery of the initial scope, the Pentagon team were retained to support further strategic developments of the operating model across multiple functions, including significant improvements to the technical infrastructure to support client take-on activities, along with enhancements to the operational workflow of transactional information across numerous platforms on a global scale.
